[the following is my opinion and is not meant to offend]
Dictionary.com defines "Fear" as a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid. So then I think it is ignorant, naive, or maybe just rather misleading to say that you don't fear death. Sure you can say that death is the first step into a better place, or that It will end up happening no matter what, and you have lived a good life [just to clarify, I used these examples b/c these are the usual reasons for "not fearing death," not b/c thats what other people had written]; however, for some people it's not necessarily about where they're going after they pass on, but what they are leaving behind. Can you honestly say that you would not miss your life, your friends, your family? Losing that connection alone is enough to fear, and some may say that you will be reunited with them again one day...but whether or not they were true believers of "the faith" is between them and God. For those who say that "what happens happens"...if you died tomorrow, would you not feel robbed and wonder why this happened to you. Also, there are people who are not necessarily afraid of death, but the process of dying.Truthfully, can you say that you are not frightened by th thought of your body systems shutting down, or something like in shattered dreams?
I fear death, I fear loss, I fear suffering...in every form, and every way...I cherish every moment, every breath because of it.

You actually made a good point there I missed, the loss of friendships. :( What one leaves behind are effects of ones death; but still, it's something to think about~
There's one thing you've missed: there are some people who like pain (like me), and those who like danger or evil. So then I think it is eccentric to say that you don't fear death. Tehehe. But sure, lots of people just are too full of their selves.
My nose tickles. I have to go, problems have risen at home. D:
