Band camp

This week we started mini band camp. Monday and Tuesday was just the leaders and the upcoming freshman. We taught them the commands we use and the basic marching styles. It has been a lot of fun but stressful and frustrating at the same time. You definetely have to have patience with these kids. Today and tomorrow is the whole band that will be returning next year. Malina is a drum major along with Charlie and it's so weird to have my friend up there conducting the band and looking so serious! But I am proud of her. Tomorrow is the last day and we will follow it up with the band dance where we say goodbye to our seniors and officially welcome the freshman. It is going to be a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it. I'm ready for summer but I can't wait until marching season starts next year! It is a lot of work but the football games are a blast and the memories are priceless.
