An Experiment
Today we begin an experiment for my AP students. For the next three weeks, until the end of school, we will try the 100-words a day program. I will post daily and students will either comment or post. Of course, 100 words provide little room for deep thought, but I will try. Today was Mother’s Day and my children and grandchildren brought me homemade muffins for breakfast. They were delicious and the accompanying hugs were even better. I also received a plant (which I will try to keep alive) and a beautiful rose. 100 words!

How many 'emily's and 'jacob's do you know? These two baby names topped the list for most popular baby names this year.'emily' for the 12th time, and 'jacob' for the 9th time. Baby names are a craze, most want to find a name that is unquie to their baby, then becomes a list topper in a matter of years, why not pick an exotic name of another ethnic origin, or a name of an interesting meaning?
(I saw an ad for baby names and this post popped into my head..:D)
This be Musee, Mrs. Neaves. :D I look forward to reading what people in your class write. Bahaha...
I like "the experiment," and I apologize for writing twice as much as I was supposed to, but I had to get all that out.
I can't wait for school to be over. Endless nights of homework and procrastination have just about worn me out. Summer means an end to all this, but a beginning of FUN!! I plan to go to on a plane to beautiful Michigan and spend a week there. I will go see my buddy Melissa, and go to the great lakes. Of course shopping is a must. Then I will come back to the blazing heat in Texas, if God allows me to, and I might even get a job at TJMaxx. :) I am just so excited !!! And the best part is, after 3 years, NO SUMMER READING!!! (until senior year)
Ok so I totally wrote something yesterday but it asked for a URL to post it at so I'll have to figure out where it is (sorry Mrs. Neaves). Today was the test and it wasn't too difficult at all. The prompts were pretty unique but simple too. Hope everyone did well today. Tomorrow is the AP World History test. My brain is pretty much fried at the moment so I don't plan on cramming or anything like that. Hopefully tomorrow morning won't be all nasty a rainy outside...it doesn't set a good vibe for test taking. =)
I'm so excited for summer not only do I get to go to a country that I've only dreamed of going to but I also get to go to New Mexico and Colorado. Usually my summers are boring and not that exciting but I'm determined to make this the best summer yet! On another note, the AP test was today and I'm so glad that it is over with. We have spent the entire school year getting ready for this test and now we can all realize and enjoy the rest of the school year. 11 days and then we are done!
So somehow I have a different URL than this (obviously did something wrong). My URL is ninjaspills.blogspot.com
I wanted to post my own blog but then I realized i forgot to give you my e-mail address. So here it is: felicia102191@yahoo.com.
Until then I'm making this 100 words because there is no point to starting something and not finishing it. You'll be proud to know, Mrs. Neaves, that i did all three of my essays. The first and third was were pretty easy, but the second one has a subtle conclusion instead of a really good one. I am so glad that AP testing is over! Now i can just relax and wait for summer to come.
As today wrapped up most of the AP testing for this year, I wondered how we faired as a whole, I mean I am about 90% sure that I made threes or better on my two AP tests. But I wonder how we all did, and how we all did on the Taks or Teks test this year. Not that the people who mostly take the AP test don’t pass the State test, but I wonder if we will have another year of unacceptability at Grand Prairie High School. So I guess that I am confused… Which is more important the AP tests or the Teks/Taks test?
I choose the name Ares because it is name of the mighty god of war in Greek mythology. It is kind of a nice representation of how well I respect the ideal of ultimate warrior. I do not believe in Greek mythology, but I do respect the beliefs of the ancient Greeks and I respect the fact that they tried to figure out why nature does the things it does. As I have often done before, I fantasize about life before science helped us figured everything out. So I do it because I not only like the name Ares but because it allows me to show respect to the ancient Greek civilization.
Working at Kelley baseball is extremely fun! I love working with baseball stuff and the people in Southlake are always spending money and I am always selling them products after products. The days have flown by because as the say the saying goes time flies by when you’re having fun. And I love my bosses they are really cool and laid back, but the problem is I feel like im walking on egg shells because im on the only one working there without the last name Kelley. So my day was great! Yall should come visit me at work… Pretty PLEASE!!!!
Have you ever been so cold, you can’t move your body at all? As if your frozen but your really not. Almost as if you’re parallelized for no apparent reason at all. That is not how I felt today. I was so hot that my body melted, not really but it felt like it. While I was working on my truck making it all nice and shiny by washing it and drowning it in soap. That is just my normal Sunday routine. After all that cleaning and hard work I bet that it will rain really hard or just enough to get my truck dirty in the next three days because that is my luck.
Grades are overrated because they don’t reflect on how hard some people work on them. And yes there are some people who don’t work hard at all on stuff, but as always there are exceptions to these rules. I try so hard to make good grades and get the college credit but I feel that im not good enough sometimes. Which is nobodies fault but it should not feel like this sometimes. And there are the times when I don’t try at all, but most of the time I am always doing my best but a high B just hurts, and then I see other people who don’t try as hard as I do make like all A’s.
