In this century of iPods and MP3 players, music is everywhere. It is something that can't be escaped, that shouldn't want to be escaped. Music is a passion of mine. I'm in band and I play the piano so I am around it constantly. I just started going to a new piano teacher and she teaches differently then what I'm used to. One thing she teaches me that I haven't been taught before is emotion. Now how can someone teach you emotion? It's something that is hard to explain. Music is all about emotion. You can feel things you haven't felt before when you listen to it. Music is a story. It makes you feel sad, excited, angry, joyful and so many other feelings. It moves your soul. I now strive to make people feel things when I sit down to play the piano. It is an amazing, unexplainable feeling.
