I choose the name Ares because it is name of the mighty god of war in Greek mythology. It is kind of a nice representation of how well I respect the ideal of ultimate warrior. I do not believe in Greek mythology, but I do respect the beliefs of the ancient Greeks and I respect the fact that they tried to figure out why nature does the things it does. As I have often done before, I fantasize about life before science helped us figured everything out. So I do it because I not only like the name Ares but because it allows me to show respect to the ancient Greek civilization.

No Brothers
Well Crystal, I don't have any brothers, so I can't speak to that issue, but I can tell you that little sisters are sometimes an enormous pain, and at my advanced age, teenage children are sometimes a major challenge. Still, with patience we all survive and teenagers tend to turn in to wonderful adults. Even cranky moms sometimes turn out all right--I feel like every time one of my kids hits 13, I go into a stupid stage (at least in their eyes) and I don't make it out until they are about 18. But, I've survived that twice and I'm on my third (and final) trip through stupidity. It's absolutely amazing how smart my 27-year-old and my 23-year-old think I am. Plus, my grandsons (age 6) think I'm totally wonderful. That's probably because I give them whatever they want, don't have to discipline them, and don't make them eat things they hate. Being a grandmother is absolutely the most fun I've ever had. You get all the good things about kids and you return them when anything troublesome comes up. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough for today. See y'all tomorrow......

Weekends
They have their ups and downs. This one really wasn't that great. Trina had to work, and my other close friends were either working or out of town, so the majority of my time was spent doing chores - Cut the grass, laundry, dishes, clean the house...I washed my car though so I guess that wasn't too bad [I hate going to school with a dirty car] - or homework - anyone who is thinking about taking a college course correspondence, DO NOT DO IT! It is too much of a hassle.
Other than that I was in a really artistic mood but couldn't draw what I wanted to. This was due to my misplacing of my camera charger because since it's now dead I am unable to take the picture I want to draw and manipulate.
Last but certainly not least, I got my new baseball stuff today [ gloves, shirts] and it's all awesome.
I really can't wait till tomorrow so I can actually use all of it.
"Thats all I got to say about that..."

It's almost over
Wow, only two weeks of school left, where has the time gone? Junior year has flown past me and is basically one big blur. The first day of school I was pretty upset because not only did me and Danny not have a single class together; but more importantly my best friend was not attending G.P. any more. Lacey Rae Haynes, my best friend since second grade was now going to school in Plano. It was really hard but we've still managed to stay best friends. Through out this year i've lost some really close friends which makes me kind of sad but i've met so many new wonderful people and have became close with quite a few. I've been ahead-ish in all my classes and was even accepted into NHS. I got my first "real" job. I'm doing a lot more than I ever have before. I'm really doing my best do my involved in school so we'll see how that goes. Man i'm already going to be a senior, life really passes you in the blink of an eye...

little brothers
It is my strong belief that younger brothers were placed on this earth in order to make the lives of their older sisters terrible and extremely hard to endure.their methods of communication far beyond normal. they don't seem to understand that reverse psychology is not the proper way to get what you want and that fat comments are rude and an immature way to show that you care.even though these younger siblings can be a strong support system when needed they, for the most part can be loud annoying creatures that are only acceptable when
Powder Puff Game
The Grand Prairie Powder Puff Game is this Wednesday and somehow I was pulled into being one of the coaches for the Juniors. If you did not know a powder puff game is also known as a girl's or women's flag football game. It's going to be the senior lady gophers against the junior lady gophers. I'm pretty excited abou coaching it even though I didn't exactly sig up to be a coach. Somebody else signed me up to be a cheerleader for it but than somehow it evolved to coach. Anyways like I said it's going to be on Wednesday so come out and support your lady gopher's.

The Future
I've been thinking a lot about my future as the summer approaches fast. And I've realized that time is just moving too fast. I'm not ready to grow up so fast, it's a lot of responsibility. The school year has seemed so short when I look back on it (probably even shorter for me since I wasn't there as much as I should have been). People all around me are growing up out of nowhere, they have jobs, permits, cars, scholarships. So I've taken my first step into adulthood and got a job. It's not a traditional job at an actual place but it's still work and anyone who wants to argue that with me can come and talk to me. I'm baby-sitting 4 kids during the summer while their mom goes back to college. I've been baby-sitting them for about a year and a half now but only at night and only a few hours. Now I'll be baby-sitting during the day for a longer period of time. There is a 10 year old, 6 year old, 3 year old, and an 8 month old. So wish me luck!
