Part Seven
Usually he had always walked right by it never really giving it much though but now with it being the only smart place to wait out the pounding storm it was both a shelter and a horror. It cast long shadows in every direction when the lightning rippled ravenously through the dark clouds behind and around it. The shadows defined the old building’s feature’s giving a forbidding definition of its roofs tower and many windows. It was a foreboding place to pass by and he had over heard rumors about it when he had first moved here about various things which he hoped were just rumors and nothing move as he stopped and pushed on the towering gate to the yard around it. Slowly it silently floated inward on its rusted hinges causing a shiver to creep up his spine which he blamed on the cold rain to calm his nerves as he quickly made his way up the path, eager to escape the tormenting weather.
