Part Five [Beth]

That one was soon quickly followed by another and another and another.
“This is just prefect!” he mumbled to himself as he realized how far he still was from his house. As he began to run down the sidewalk, brilliant bright lightning filled the evening and ripped across the sky accompanied by a loud crack of thunder that tor through the silence of the afternoon like the many sharp claws of an enraged farm cat across the face of the one who made it so followed by the victim’s howling screams. Before he knew it the few droplets had turned into a bombardment upon him their cold pang stinging and nipping at his unprotected head and arms.
